UK raised, U.S born R&B vocalist Celeste has just dropped her 7th single ‘She’s My Sunshine’. Channelling the soulfulness of Aretha Franklin and the huskiness of Amy Winehouse, Celeste puts a modern spin on classic soul music. ‘She’s My Sunshine’ is a song about a close friend, which features retro strings against a modern, bolshy beat, with a bright snare. The bass is rooted firmly, but is modest in its simplicity, whilst the chorus is epic, with gospel vocals backing Celeste, singing the hook "She’s My Sunshine", accompanied by inspiriting brass parts.
