‘Gondor’ is an interesting blend of trance and techno, which slowly builds over a shimmering pad. Harsh synth sounds and bass drums gradually bring in an industrial beat, while the pad is slowly replaced with a deep, wobbling melody-line build on a repeating, syncopated note. Austrian producer C Punkt Schwarzweiss has managed to create a strangely appealing blend of genres in this piece, and his small but devoted group of fans will no doubt be eagerly awaiting the next release. -Dan Peeke
