London's BURHOU are one of the most thrillingly abstract new duos in the UK right now. They eschew any conventional promotion - you won't find their faces or identities anywhere online - and their releases come thick and fast. Take new tracks, 'Fitna' and 'Fitna Rust', both dropped over this past weekend, and while the latter shows off their intricately layered production, it's the lead track which has piqued our attention. They manage to do a lot with very little - clinking found sounds resonate over a regimented beat and washed-out samples, and that allows the lavish lead vocal to soar unshackled. They pair will release their debut EP, Lola, later on this year. - DC
