Washington songwriter Briana Marela adds a touch of Nordic flair to 'Take Care Of Me', the latest track taken from her upcoming album, All Around Us. Indeed, the collection, due out on Jagjaguwar later this month, was recorded and produced by Sigur Rós co-conspirator, Alex Somers, in Iceland - and sure enough, there are shades of the country's unpredictably beautiful textures and smooth glacial lines infused throughout the followup to first single 'Surrender'. It's the sort of track that doesn't work too hard, trickling along with dainty percussion and organic samples welling up below Marela's charming layered vocal. - DC
