Following on from 'Seasons', 'Scissors' is the second single from Brainstory's forthcoming record Ripe to land, all the way from sunny California. Like the previous single, 'Scissors' is instrumental; allowing the listener to be fully immersed in a narrative of their own. Planted in retro R&B, the track is drum/bass-focused, with wormy guitar lines that seamlessly meld hispanic, spaghetti-western and psychedelia into one. The plonky keyboard wanders away from the other instrumentation, as if it's on an independent quest.
