The Smiths-esque, jangly guitar that kicks off ‘Palms’ gets this track underway, creating a mellow, indie sound. However, the lead vocals (split between the bands three singers, each bringing their own distinct tone) often spill a little punk into the mix, with attitude-laden verses contrasting the fast 3-part harmony that leads us through the catchy chorus. Body Type are an all-female Australian band with an impressive CV of releases and live shows, soon to include their upcoming show supporting Unknown Mortal Orchestra in Sydney and the release of the eagerly awaited EP that contains this stunning track. -Dan Peeke
