BLOOD MONEY WORRIES

Philadelphia six-piece Blood take out their ‘Money Worries’ on an anxious punk track (out via London label Permanent Creeps). Initially the solo project of musician Tim O’Brien, after being holed up together in a house during lockdowns, Blood eventually developed into a full band releasing their first EP Why Wait Till ’55, We Might Not Even Be Alive in 2020. On ‘Money Worries’ is a diverse range of influences and styles are evident, starting as a janky post-punk track that would not sound out of place on a DUDS record the song careers off course into an soft folky acoustic breakdown complete with horns before snapping back into the shouty twitchy groove. -Toby Evans-Jesra
