We can scarcely believe that it's been almost two years since New Jersey producer-vocalist Blood Cultures dropped his debut song, 'Indian Summer'. It's even harder to reconcile with the fact that he's barely said a word since. Fortunately, twenty-four months absence hasn't dulled his ability to craft hypnotically sultry electronic-pop hits; striking another rich vein of M83-ish goodness on long-awaited followup, 'Scenes From A Midnight Movie'. Light and floaty synths pair perfectly with those dreamy, and sorely-missed vocals of his making this the perfect late-summer jam. We're already looking forward to completing a trio of Blood Cultures tracks in 2017. - DC
