A short but sweet hit of left-leaning electronic music, ‘Kingdom’ is the latest track from Black Fly. It is at once melodic, melancholy and completely addictive. Despite being less than two minutes long, the track moves from airy chords, through dancefloor-ready synth breaks and into restrained piano. Black Fly’s sits above the pseudo-mechanical, almost industrial soundscape with a Post Malone-esque lilt. One of the most impressive things about the track is the hypnotic visualiser that accompanies it: “I too wanted to create scenes where rural landscapes, technology, and people were intertwined. A sort of sci-fi depiction of where I live. It also feels representative of the music, a clash of organic and technological textures.” His upcoming collection of tracks, Black Fly 01, drops on April 13^th, 2021. -Dan Peeke
