BLACK COUNTRY, NEW ROAD SUNGLASSES

Following the release of their Dan Carey-produced Speedy Wunderground single 'Anthen's, France' earlier this year, rising experimentalists Black Country, New Road have shared another lengthy portion of painfully self-aware free jazz. Spanning almost 9 minutes, 'Sunglasses' feels like amalgamation of numerous collective jams held together by Isaac Wood's quivering stream of consciousness-style vocals. Existing so abrasively in reality, the meticulously delivered lyrics comment on the banalities of millennial life as the powerful rhythm section provides some much-needed structure to the track.
