In celebration of the first anniversary of Gestalt, the label have announced an incredible 7-track compilation due for release on April 15^th 2019, starring such artists as Akasha System and Astro. Our focus today, however, is Bert S’ contribution to the Anniversary Sampler 01 EP- ‘Chapters’. The track is built on a thick bassline, with synth pads and cymbals reversing into the texture. Favouring slow, minimalist-inspired textural rises over traditional melody lines, this piece develops in complexity until a soaring, saw-like synth takes the piece to its atmospheric conclusion. -Dan Peeke
