With their loose surf rock sound it's surprising to hear that Beach Skulls hail from industrial Wirral rather than sunny California. Their new single 'Dreamin' Blues' is no less authentic, and even more impressive, as all the essential elements are there; laid-back charm, go-steady guitars and a don't care attitude. The band have harnessed retro sounds perfectly within the recording, featuring authentic moments of garage-like production. The trio release their album on Slow Grind on 29th April via PNKSLM Recordings, and if 'Dreamin' Blue' is anything to go by, it won't be as hard work as it sounds. -SJ
