Balcony have dropped their latest cut in the shape of ‘Pink Hair, Green Eyes’. Taking influence from a variety of genres, the tune channels a hip-hop style in its verses with a unique vocal delivery at front-and-centre, while the chorus delves into catchy pop melodies that hook the listener. The actual lyrical content of the tune provides a strange, yet interesting variation that focuses on “intoxication and desire”, combining influences from house party antics to Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey into one expressive piece. The video that compliments the tune was directed by Jackson Ducasse and is full of psychedelic colours and trippy editing that could have come straight from the early Pink Floyd back catalogue. -Dan Peeke
