Istanbul’s finest, The Away Days return this week with news of their long-awaited debut album. Set for release in early 2017, the as-yet untitled album has been a long time coming. To keep fans content until then though, the quartet have unveiled a sublime new single ‘World Horizon’ - which should be more than enough to keep everyone happy for the moment. On the new cut, wonderfully hazy guitars lilt around laid-back, but excellently performed percussion, whilst vocalist Oguz Can Ozen pensive lyrics glide over the top of the encapsulating instrumentals. With the new album on the horizon, The Away Days sound ready to take their stirring alternative indie to the masses. -JC
