Quirky London synth-pop duo Audiobooks only burst into the public eye about month ago, but they've already won us over with their excellent industrial-tinged debut 'Gothenburg' and ridiculously good live shows. Since then the pair have shared an arty video, released an EP via Heavenly Recordings, played a packed-out set at The Great Escape festival and are showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. Their brand new single 'Hot Salt' is without a doubt their catchiest release to date, combining their signature good-humoured lyrics with a pumping synth-bass line, ticking drum machines and exotic sitar hooks. Never ones to shy away from unusual subject matter, the verses of 'Hot Salt' see Ling and Wrench taking turns to unpick the events of a swingers party before unleashing their true pop potential with one of the most infectious choruses we've heard in a long while.
