ARRAN GEORGE MAN IN THE MOON

Taking a quirky look at the world through his carefully crafted indie folk storytelling, Arran George is preparing to release his debut album What I See On Daytime TV this September 13th. Two singles, ‘How High Does The English Grass Grow’ and ‘Man In The Moon’ have been dropped in support of the album, with the latter delivering a powerful punch in its songwriting. It gives off subtle hints of the likes of Bon Iver and James Bay, with the airy lead vocal taking centre stage over a subtle, yet beautiful, guitar accompaniment. Of the tune, he says, “To think the best or worst moment of your life is on CCTV is strange, at least you can hope whoever is trawling through it all gets a kick. But probably not through, it probably gets written over automatically every week or something. They’re more than likely going to use your subtle face and body movements to programme random strangers when we all voluntarily climb in our batteries”. - Dan Peeke
