ARDYN HELP ME ON MY WAY

Gloucestershire twins Ardyn left a big impression on us with their stark debut single proper, 'Universe'. The track, drawn from their forthcoming EP on National Anthem, had the distinct air of a band influenced by the sombre strains of Daughter and 3am hush-pop of The XX. The record's second cut 'Help Me On My Way' sees a very gentle shift in tone, towards a more driven sound, with propulsive percussion and Rob Pearson's tangled guitar licks lifting sister Katy's smoky vocal aloft. With radio interest starting to pick up in a big way, we're certain it won't be long before Ardyn follow past labelmates Haim and CHVRCHES into the pop big leagues. - DC
