One of the criticisms you could level at Lake District twosome Aquilo is their perceived lack of diversity across a back catalogue which largely consists of deep and meaningful pop-soul with an electronic flourish. Not anymore. The full-on chart-chasing 'Good Girl' showed an interesting turn of pace from Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher, but it's this new track which has really set our pulse racing. 'Never Seen You Get So Low' is drawn from their as-yet-unannounced debut record and sets a decidedly more groove-led tone, with vivid, head-rush guitar hooks and twinkling chimes orbiting a steady beat.
