Amber Run seem to have immediately pulled off exactly their intention, with the release of the addictive ‘Affection’, and its exceptionally anthemic, Coldplay-like vibe. The track deals with love, specifically the contrast between its ability to lift you up and destroy you at the same time. Lyrically, the topic is explored with grace, while the building, ethereal textures and haunting melodies provide the perfect pillow for the words to sit atop. -Dan Peeke
