ALVVAYS DREAMS TONITE

'Dreams Tonite' is the stunning new single from Alvvays. Taken from their eagerly anticipated second record Antisocialites, out 8 September via Transgressive Records alongside extensive tour dates, the cut is filled with the dreamy, indie-pop elements that have put the Toronto four-piece on the map. Molly Rankin's moving vocal delivery soars effortlessly above layers of a gently swaying, subtly melancholic accompaniment. "So morose for me, seeing ghosts of me, writing oaths to me," coos Rankin through the song from which the album's name is taken. "In fluorescent light, antisocialites watch a wilting flower." The record was written and demoed on Toronto Island where the singer spent time listening to favourite records and working in an abandoned schoolroom. It is another dream single from one of the most consistently brilliant indie outfits on the planet. -G.O'B
