In a midweek perk up, it's great to hear that London electronic duo Alpines are to release new album Another River in October and are offering a divine first taste in 'Heaven'. A decadent cinematic track, full of sparse production from Bob Matthews and the supremely talented vocals of Catherine Pockson, there is something choral about it's soulful simplicity. As if Sister Act had discovered dark electronica, the high reaching acrobatics of Pockson are entirely diva. Inspired by the power of minimalism for the record, the stripped back sound is something we can really believe in. - SJ
