ALFA MIST RUN OUTS

We were blown away with Alfa Mist's last neo-soul-infused single 'Galaxy', which featured on the Blue Note Re:imagined compilation album. Now, the East-Londoner and self-taught pianist has announced his fourth solo album Bring Backs, and offers up the first taste, with new single 'Run Outs', out alongside a visualiser of West Ham underground station. Twinkling whirlitzer-style keys begin the track, closely followed by a complex drum beat. The track also features some unchained sax and far-out synths, sending it on a sonic journey that you'll loose yourself in. Alfa Mist explains of the track, "'Run Outs' is a street game I remember playing when I was younger. I used to think of making beats and playing with a band as separate worlds until I realised I was always trying to achieve the same thing. Making the music I want to make. With the song 'Run Outs' I'm bringing together the vibe of my earliest beats with where I'm at today"The forthcoming album Bring Backs is out April 23rd on Anti-. -Ellie Rose-Davies
