'Imagining My Man' is the new single from Aldous Harding. The "lover's call to arms", which is taken from her second record Party, due 19 May via 4AD, is a thought-provoking and wholly intimate outing, that allows Harding's characteristic vocal to pour out over a slow-burning piano accompaniment, punctuated by enthused cries of "Hey!". Of the captivating new video the New Zealander explains, "It has a fluidity that works nicely. I couldn't think of anything that would work better. I want people to feel calm, I was just trying to look friendly. It was also lovely being driven around Auckland City, I hadn't done that in a while." A run of live shows accompanies the release of the record, and we imagine they will be quite a spectacle. -G.O'B
