ALA.NI is the Paris-based Londoner who lives in her own groove when it comes to music and to life as a whole. This attitude is surely reflective in her music, which includes new songs ‘Differently’ and ‘Sha la la’, lifted from her forthcoming album ACCA featuring guest appearances from Iggy Pop and rising rapper/actor Lakeith Stanfield. The first track to receive the TMR treatment is ‘Differently’, a jazzy bop with multiple layers of textured percussion. It’s set to be a bright and bold album opener on the ACCA LP, and a perfect introduction to ALA.NI’s powerful voice. Her larger-than-life presence can not only be heard but also seen in the video, which was filmed on a basketball court in Paris. As ALA.NI shares, "I have always liked the colours and geometric lines of the court, and I wanted to shoot something lively in this space. Dancing and movement seemed like a good thing to do in this space."
