We remember happening upon Swedish Londoner Akiine's sublime track 'Sunglassey' well over two years ago, and comparing it to a sleepwalk around a forest lit up with fairy lights and fireflies at midnight. Akiine has continued in that same dreamy, softly-lilting pop vein ever since. She's readying a new EP, NEPTUNE, due out next month, and last week offered up 'Paranormal Activity' from the record, a track far more soothing than its title suggests. Imagine one of Solange's heady, tropically-influenced pop songs warped and moulded into a muted, mellow Scandinavian slow jam brimming with luxurious melodies and twinkling synths, that's 'Paranormal Activity'.
