Stripping away the drums, bass and effects pedals of her main project Big Thief, Brooklyn-based songwriter Adrianne Lenker has announced a new solo album with its tremblingly beautiful lead track 'Cradle'. Existing in the space between enchanting folk and heartbreaking acoustic indie, 'Cradle' is the first taste of a collection of tracks written in sound checks or in brief moments of downtime between Big Theif's relentless touring schedule. Following her hugely underrated 2014 debut Hours Were The Birds, Lenker explained, “I want to archive the songs in their original forms every few years. For the first solo record I made, I had just turned 21 and moved to New York City where I was sleeping in a warehouse, working in a restaurant and photographing pigeons.
