Since the release of his dazzling sunbeam single, ‘24 Carat (feat. Tamaraebi)’, we’ve been eagerly awaiting new music from rising South London artist and producer Adian Coker. Thankfully, and after minimal delay, he’s revealed ‘Overtime’ - the second eclectic track from his forthcoming Buena Vistas EP. Like its predecessor, this new single’s sonic skeleton is built from a similar kaleidoscopic sound collage of cut-up vocal stabs, boom bap beats and Coker’s subtly-processed sung-spoken voice, but where ‘24 Carat’ lyrically explores issues of wealth, ‘Overtime’ is an inspirational anthem about the “hours we spend working towards our dreams and aspirations and going the extra mile to achieve them.” Watch out for Buena Vistas’ June 2nd release on ever-trendsetting French label Kitsuné. -KJ
