Echoing across the stratosphere, Jenn Grant transmits another track from her Galaxies LP, the serene, space lullaby ‘Paradise’. Her vocals are as flawless as ever, exposed as vocal howls, folksy caresses and a choppy spoken word-style section. Further propelling us to cosmic heights are the Ziggy Stardust-inspired lo-fi guitars, bluesy bass spirals, grounding piano chords, the dramatic, sometimes incoherent, drums and a floaty production that’s extremely complimentary to the Canadian songwriter’s naturally sirenesque voice.
