‘Break my body, break my soul – she’s got love’ goes the funky-as-you-like chorus to Frills’ new single. Originally from New Zealand but now residing in New York’s fashionable Brooklyn, Frills draw inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic, with psychedelic synths swirling around crisp beats. This new-found highly danceable style feels like quite the departure for Frills, who delivered more straight down the line indie-pop in ‘Human Beingz’ and ‘We Can Be Friends’. If ‘She’s Got Love’ is the sign of things to come then count us in for the ride. –Holly Manners
