Coming in at just 2 minutes 50 seconds, Dama Scout’s new single ‘Suzie Wong’ packs one hell of a punch. The London/Glasgow trio have been exceptionally busy since forming late last year, having earned support from NTS, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio and signing to tastemaker label Hand In Hive. Despite this flurry of activity ‘Suzie Wong’ is actually one of the first tracks that the band wrote together, owing it’s particularly DIY feel to the fact that it was recorded on an "especially basic child’s guitar" via a laptop microphone. As with all Dama Scout’s releases, it's lo-fi, noisy and perfectly imperfect. Watch out for the band’s first full release, scheduled for 10^th November. If this is what Dama Scout can produce in under a year, we can’t wait to see where they’ll head next. –HM
