CARMODY MISSING

Carmody is a shining example of how the DIY approach to releasing music can yield extraordinary results. The young talent is unmanaged, unpublished and without a record deal, yet has managed several storming releases and a sell-out show at The Waiting Room to date. Now, she is back with ‘Missing’, a track which she describes as being for "anyone who has someone missing from their lives that they still dream about." Produced by long-time collaborator Jasper Tygner and featuring saxophone from Laura Misch, ‘Missing’ lets Carmody’s sweet, lilting vocals steal the show, whilst jazzy production punctuates the background. As with, ‘Before You Knew Me’, ‘Missing’ feels like Carmody has finally found her sweet spot, and if this is where she has got herself without industry support, we can’t wait to see what she has in store. Catch Carmody playing Omeara, London on Tuesday 9th May. -HM
