Mysterious London artist Bellatrix shines once again with fervent, energetic, truly exciting sounds and skillful grasp of what urban-pop should sound like. Similar to her debut ‘Still Lookin For’, her third release ‘After More’ reverberates with African-inspired rhythms, indie-pop guitar melodies, epic poppy synths and a unique vocal style. Her overtly feminine, young-sounding voice represents so much of what this British newcomer wants to celebrate with ‘Aftermore’. Bellatrix tells us that "Kind of like my first single, 'Still Looking For,' this is another track about reconnecting with the wild and the mystical, and how things that were once natural to human kind have become abstract and forgotten as the modern world forces us into numbness. It's about searching, surrender, and the cyclic nature of the feminine." So far, this anonymous artist has shown no signs of holding back on any of her tracks and we’re especially looking forward to the next installment of Bellatrix’s debut EP. - HT
