‘A World On Fire’ is the latest single from Jesse Crowe’s project, Praises. The track is an impressive exploration of electronic sound that opens with a thick bass synth and wanders through almost Avant Garde vocal textures and haunting dissonances. This unsettling vibe is captured visually by Jordan Allen’s accompanying music video, which matches Praises’ music with jittery black and white images. On the track, Praises explains: “The hope was to embody the momentum of social justice built in chaos of 2020. The feeling of the world burning around you and lighting a torch off the simmering embers.
